Learning?

"Every person I meet is my superior in some way. In that, I learn of them." This quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)  was hugely influential in my career. It made me realise how much skill, experience and expertise there was in everybody else. And that changed my career to be more interesting, productive and fun!

It also suggests life-long learning in which I am a strong believer, not least because my life has spanned from before computers to where they are an integral part of the way we work and play. And with the benefit of hindsight, read these absurd quotes about computing. And weep. And learn.
